About Akanksha Kohli

Akanksha is a warm, approachable, and dedicated experienced positive behaviour support practitioner, who truly cares about making a difference in people’s lives. With her compassionate nature and reliable work ethic, she’s known for creating a safe, supportive space for her clients, their families, educators, and support teams. In her previous roles as a positive behavior support practitioner, mental health worker, and educator, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to promoting kindness, inclusivity, and cultural safety in all that she does.

She has worked with individuals from diverse cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds, ranging in age from 6 to 65 years old. She is committed to enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by understanding and addressing the underlying causes of challenging behaviours. Akanksha is passionate about helping clients and their support networks overcome emotional regulation struggles, reduce behaviours of harm, improve communication, build confidence, and foster independence. She also supports individuals in tackling performance-based challenges like motivation, goal-setting, and achieving personal milestones. Her practice is rooted in evidence-based therapies and strategies.
