Kim Beacher is a Social Worker & Behaviour Support Practitioner with more than 20 years of experience in the health and disability sector in various roles. Based on the Gold Coast, she supports clients across Gold Coast, Brisbane and surrounding areas, working with people from a wide range of ages, backgrounds, and abilities.
Kim’s work is centred around Positive Behaviour Support (PBS). She is passionate about helping individuals and their support networks better understand behaviours of concern and find practical, strengths-based ways to improve quality of life. She develops behaviour support plans that are tailored to the individual, aiming to reduce restrictive practices and build supportive environments that promote safety, dignity, and independence.
With a down-to-earth and collaborative approach, Kim works closely with families, carers, and support teams. She focuses on building capacity and confidence within the team, ensuring that everyone involved feels supported and equipped to implement lasting, meaningful strategies.
