Melissa is an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist with more than 15 years working across hospital, school, and private practice settings. She has developed deep expertise in the NDIS, supporting participants with diverse and complex needs through comprehensive Functional Capacity Assessments, assistive technology recommendations, and goal-focused therapy interventions.
Melissa has extensive experience in neurological and physical rehabilitation, including stroke, acquired injuries, MVA/CTP claims, and workers’ compensation pathways. She uses this strong clinical foundation to support people of all ages to maximise independence, safety, and participation in home, community, work, and daily routines. With a client-centred and evidence-based approach, Melissa takes the time to understand what matters most to each participant. She is skilled in translating assessment outcomes into practical, achievable plans that support long-term wellbeing, improve functional outcomes, and build capacity.

Melissa works closely with families, support coordinators, allied health teams, and wider community supports to ensure recommendations are clear, functional, and aligned with NDIS goals and funding requirements. Mellisa Swain offers mobile Occupational Therapy services across the entirety of Greater Sydney, providing dedicated support to participants in the Inner West, North Shore, Western Sydney, and the Blue Mountains. Beyond the Sydney metropolitan area, Mellisa is also available to travel to the Lower Central Coast, extending her reach as far as Gosford. By offering mobile visits with a travel radius of approximately one hour each way (two hours return), she ensures that high-quality, professional OT care is accessible to NDIS participants throughout Sydney, Gosford, and the surrounding Central Coast regions.
