About Mellisa Swain

Melissa is an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist with more than 15 years working across hospital, school, and private practice settings. She has developed deep expertise in the NDIS, supporting participants with diverse and complex needs through comprehensive Functional Capacity Assessments, assistive technology recommendations, and goal-focused therapy interventions.

Melissa has extensive experience in neurological and physical rehabilitation, including stroke, acquired injuries, MVA/CTP claims, and workers’ compensation pathways. She uses this strong clinical foundation to support people of all ages to maximise independence, safety, and participation in home, community, work, and daily routines. With a client-centred and evidence-based approach, Melissa takes the time to understand what matters most to each participant. She is skilled in translating assessment outcomes into practical, achievable plans that support long-term wellbeing, improve functional outcomes, and build capacity.

Collaboration is at the heart of her practice. Melissa works closely with families, support coordinators, allied health teams, and wider community supports to ensure recommendations are clear, functional, and aligned with NDIS goals and funding requirements. Dedicated to professional growth and high-quality service delivery, Melissa integrates her strong medical and community knowledge to empower participants on their NDIS journey, helping them live with greater choice, control, and confidence.
