Michael Gibson is a highly experienced Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner with a strong foundation in behavioural science, child protection, psychology, and counselling through a trauma-informed, attachment-focused, person-centred, and culturally responsive best practice approach.
For over a decade, Michael has supported children, adolescents, adults, and families presenting with complex behavioural challenges, mental/physical/intellectual and developmental disabilities, child/adult sexual abuse, trauma, early intervention & child protection, and domestic & family violence. He is known for his calm presence, empathetic nature, and strong communication skills, and has extensive skills in conducting functional behaviour assessments, developing comprehensive Positive Behaviour Support Plans, and delivering tailored therapeutic interventions focused on emotional regulation, engagement, and skill development.
