Her passion for helping individuals with disabilities is not just professional but deeply personal, as she draws from her own lived experience supporting her son. This unique perspective drives her commitment to improving the lives of others, particularly those with complex behavioural needs.
Shokria has a strong dedication to supporting rural and regional communities. After spending five years in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, she developed a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals in these areas when accessing high-quality disability services. This experience fuels her desire to extend services to underserved regions, ensuring that people in rural areas have the same opportunities for care and support as those in larger cities.
As a mentor and supervisor, Shokria nowadays plays an integral role in developing the skills of other Behaviour Support Practitioners and Psychologists, sharing her expertise to ensure her team provides the highest standard of care. She is driven by her vision to make the world a more inclusive place and prides herself on delivering quality services that go above and beyond expectations.
