Our Specialist Behaviour Support team is dedicated to enhancing the well-being and quality of life for individuals with disabilities by providing targeted support and training. Our goal is to reduce challenging behaviours, improve overall functioning for both individuals, reduce or eliminate the use of restrictive practices and improve their quality of life.

At Capability Support Services, our Specialist Behaviour Support Service employs a holistic, person-centred approach focusing on a team that generally includes Psychologists. Our team creates comprehensive behaviour support plans and provides training for individuals with disabilities and their support networks to enhance their well-being and quality of life.

Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP):

Development of PBSP’s that may include restrictive practices, when necessary, to support behavioural improvements.

Ongoing Data Collection and PBSP Reviews:

Continuous monitoring and evaluation of behaviour support plans and restrictive practices to ensure effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.

Training for PBSP Implementation:

Educating providers, stakeholders, and support workers on implementing PBSP’s effectively to ensure consistent and appropriate application.
