Sensory Assessments
A Sensory Assessment helps identify how a person processes and responds to sensory information in everyday environments. Our Occupational Therapists assess sensory patterns, sensitivities, regulation, and functional impacts to develop practical strategies that support participation, comfort, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
Sensory Assessments can help with:
1
Sensory regulation
Understanding emotional and sensory responses throughout the day.
2
Sensory sensitivities
Identifying reactions to noise, textures, lights, movement, or environments.
3
Daily routines
Supporting participation in home, school, work, and community activities.
4
Behaviour and emotional regulation
Exploring how sensory needs may impact behaviour and coping skills.
5
Environmental strategies
Recommending practical changes to support comfort and regulation.
6
Assistive supports
Identifying sensory tools or strategies that may improve daily functioning.
