Iona is a qualified Occupational Therapist with experience across the UK and Australia, bringing a unique blend of clinical expertise and creative design thinking to her practice.
In the UK, she worked within local government services, focusing on housing adaptations and home environment assessments to promote independence for adults. She developed practical solutions for informal carers, enabling them to support loved ones safely at home, and also worked in adolescent mental health services, where she empowered young people to recognise their strengths, build confidence, and re-engage with education and employment.
Since moving to Australia, Iona has worked with NDIS participants, with particular expertise in prescribing mid-cost assistive technology and developing personalised fatigue management strategies. She now has a passion for conducting comprehensive assessments and writing clear, evidence-based Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA), ensuring participants and their support teams have the right documentation to access meaningful supports and services.
What sets Iona apart is her ability to integrate creative and design-based approaches into her OT practice. With a background spanning digital marketing, permaculture design, yoga nidra, and even bathroom and kitchen design, she brings fresh perspectives to health and accessibility.
