Dr Fiona is a highly experienced and credentialed Specialist Developmental Educator and Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioner with extensive expertise supporting individuals with complex developmental, behavioural, cognitive, neurodegenerative, and psychosocial support needs across disability, acquired brain injury and chronic mental health settings. Her practice is grounded in person-centred, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approaches that prioritise quality of life, human rights, and meaningful outcomes for participants and their support networks.
Fiona has significant experience in assessing, developing, and implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies for individuals presenting with behaviours of concern, dual diagnosis, acquired brain injury, forensic disability, autism spectrum disorder, and other neurodevelopmental and degenerative conditions. She is skilled in conducting comprehensive functional behaviour assessments, identifying contributing environmental and psychosocial factors, and developing practical, individualised support strategies that reduce risk and improve long-term wellbeing.
Working closely with families, carers, support teams, and multidisciplinary professionals, Fiona is recognised for her collaborative approach, clinical insight, and ability to translate complex behavioural concepts into practical, achievable supports. Her work focuses on building the capability of people and stakeholders while ensuring supports remain ethical, responsive, and aligned with each individual’s goals and strengths.
