Alka Sharma is a dedicated Behaviour Support Practitioner with experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults with complex behavioural, emotional, and mental health needs.
Currently completing her Master of Clinical Psychology, Alka combines evidence-based practice with a compassionate, person-centred approach to help participants build meaningful skills, improve quality of life, and achieve their individual goals. She has experience working with individuals presenting with autism, trauma, anxiety, depression, and behaviours of concern, developing Positive Behaviour Support Plans that promote independence and reduce restrictive practices.
Alka works collaboratively with participants, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical, strengths-based strategies that create positive and lasting outcomes. Her clinical approach is grounded in trauma-informed care, functional behaviour assessment, and evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi, Alka is passionate about providing culturally responsive support and ensuring every participant feels heard, understood, and empowered throughout their journey.
