Sheeba is a an experienced clinical psychologist with a background in child and youth mental health services, community adult mental health services, high and low security correctional facilities, inpatient forensic services, university health clinics and private practice. In these roles she has provided intervention and assessment to individuals across the lifespan, often tailoring her approach to suit the needs of each person. Sheeba feels privileged to work collaboratively with individuals and their carers through positive behaviour support. She acknowledges the innate challenges that individuals with disabilities may face and approaches her work with empathy, respect, and evidence-based strategies. Her work is centred around helping individuals and their carers navigate challenges while still celebrating strengths and achievements.
Sheeba’s experience and approach to behaviour support is a collaborative one. Her overarching aim is to create a supportive and empowering environment where individuals and their carers feel safe to express themselves and have their experiences understood.
