Frequently Asked Questions
CSS Training & Development Webinars are practical, evidence-informed learning sessions designed to build knowledge, confidence and capability across the disability and allied health sector. Sessions focus on translating clinical knowledge into practical strategies that can be applied in everyday support.
Our webinars are designed for support workers, families, carers, Behaviour Support Practitioners, allied health professionals, support coordinators, service providers and others working within the disability sector. Individual webinars may be tailored to specific audiences.
Topics vary throughout the year and may include Positive Behaviour Support, understanding behaviours of concern, restrictive practices, trauma-informed practice, disability and mental health, clinical practice, communication, regulation, professional development and emerging areas of practice.
Webinars are delivered by experienced CSS clinicians, practitioners and subject matter experts. Where relevant, CSS may also invite guest presenters with specialised knowledge or experience.
Both. Our focus is on making evidence-informed knowledge useful in practice. Sessions combine key concepts with practical examples, strategies and considerations that participants can take back into their work or support environment.
Many CSS webinars are delivered live online, providing participants with the opportunity to learn from the presenter and, where included, participate in questions and discussion. The format of each session will be outlined when registration opens.
Webinar length varies depending on the topic. Session duration and other details are provided on the individual webinar registration page.
No. Unless otherwise specified, CSS Training & Development Webinars are open to people outside CSS, including professionals, providers, support workers, families and others interested in the topic.
Yes. Organisations may choose to register multiple team members where places are available. CSS may also offer tailored training for organisations or teams where a more specific learning need has been identified.
Where a certificate is offered for a particular webinar, this will be outlined in the webinar information. Participants may be required to meet attendance requirements before a certificate can be issued.
Recording availability may vary between sessions due to the topic, presenter and privacy considerations. If a recording or replay is available, this will be communicated as part of the webinar information.
Upcoming training and development opportunities will be published through CSS's website and communication channels, including information about the topic, presenter, date, time and registration.
CSS can consider tailored professional development and training based on the needs of an organisation or support team. This may include training focused on specific areas of clinical practice, Positive Behaviour Support or disability support.
As CSS has grown, we wanted a more innovative way to support quality across a multidisciplinary workforce. Rather than using technology simply for administration, we developed a system that can actively support practitioners to reflect on their work, strengthen report quality and continuously develop their clinical practice.
