Marisa is a dedicated Speech Pathologist with experience working across Victoria and Queensland. She provides assessment and therapy across the lifespan, supporting children, adolescents and adults with a wide range of communication and swallowing-related needs. Marisa brings a warm, approachable and client-centred style to her practice, with a strong focus on building meaningful relationships and tailoring supports to each person’s individual needs, goals and communication preferences.
Marisa has experience across speech, language, literacy, fluency, social communication, and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). She also has a particular interest in fussy eating and feeding, as well as supporting people from specialty communities, including the Deaf community.
Marisa values practical and functional therapy that can be embedded into everyday life and works collaboratively with clients, families, carers, educators and other professionals to support meaningful outcomes and greater participation. She is fluent in Portuguese and can also understand some Spanish, bringing an additional level of cultural and linguistic awareness to her practice.
