Katherine is a highly experienced Social Worker and Positive Behaviour Support practitioner with more than 20 years of experience supporting people with disability to navigate their complex support, emotional and mental health needs. With a strong commitment to rights-based, person-centred and trauma-informed practice, Katherine works alongside people with disability, families, and support teams to create meaningful and lasting positive outcomes.
Katherine specialises in Functional Behaviour Assessments, Positive Behaviour Support Plans, reducing restrictive practices, and developing the skills and confidence of people with disability and their supporters. Her approach focuses on building trusted relationships and understanding the whole person, their strengths, goals, communication needs, relationships and environments, to increase independence, promote genuine choice and control and improve quality of life.
