About Cindy

With a personal and professional history spanning three decades in the disability space, Cindy has been a Behaviour Support
Practitioner since 2021. She strongly believes in the importance of providing a person-centered approach to working with
people (with a disability) and embedding herself as a part of their team to collaboratively achieve great outcomes.
She believes that in each unique every situation where practitioners are invited to ‘walk’ alongside people, they should adapt
their approach and style to fit the person (with a disability), their lives and needs. This provides the optimal opportunity to
understand and interpret what behaviour is communicating, and provide positive outcomes
Cindy has worked alongside people from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of diagnoses, including Developmental
and Epileptic Encephalopathies (DEE), complex neurological and intellectual disabilities, progressive neurological conditions,
and palliative diagnoses. She also has experience supporting people with disability for whom English is an additional
language, complemented by her Certificate V in TESOL and career in International Education, and Special Education.
